WHY & HOW WE WORK

The School-Linked program encourages, respects, and supports our students, the school, and the community.  We promote fun, safety, and learning to the highest standard. Our convenient and flexible out-of-school care programs offer students and parents solutions to manage time, learning, and life outside the classroom.

Above all else we are a team. Our School-Linked team works together, and alongside parents, to provide the best quality program for the children in our care. We believe in the 3 R’s to guide design and implementation of the program and curriculum: Respect, Responsibility, Right.

Who We Are

WHO WE ARE

Becca Ness - I've lived in Strathmore for 12 years and feel proud to call it home. I love the sense of community here and how everyone is so friendly and kind. I have been in the Early Childhood Education field for seven years and love the small impact you can make on a child’s life. Even if it is as simple as a smile, helping them learn something new, or making them feel like they belong. It brings me joy to know that I can impact a child in a positive way and get to be a part of their learning, and growing process. I am married and hope to have my own children in the future. In my spare time, I enjoy fishing, gardening, baking, camping, traveling, and hanging out with the cows at my in-law’s farm. I am very excited to be the Director of School-Linked and to see our “Linked Family” grow.

Kelly WesaA little bit about me, I’ve been in the Early Childhood Education Field since 2006 when I did my first practicum in a Nursery school. My goal was to be a Kindergarten Educator but I fell in love after my first week in my practicum and knew I could make a greater difference in a child’s life in the earlier years and also have a stronger relationships with families.

I graduated in 2008 back in Ontario and worked in several childcare centres in a variety of classrooms from infants, toddlers, preschool and running a before and afterschool program.

I followed my heart and the love of my life and moved out to Alberta in 2015 to start my family.

I’m a proud mother of three to my son and my two step children.

I’m also a strong and passionate educator as well. I value my relationships with the children I work with but also value the relationships I have with their families too.

I truly believe it takes a village to raise children and I feel so honoured to be apart of your child’s village. I’m always happy to help and answer any questions. I look forward in meeting you and working with your children.
